A Merry Christmas indeed

We had a great Christmas. We left the chilly temps of our brisk town and traveled to Great Falls to where it was even colder.(IF THAT'S EVEN POSSIBLE) Once you get below twenty...everything feels too cold.

However, despite a cold and very white christmas, we had a good time at my mom's house. Christmas day was so fun because there is nothing like a pack of excited children tearing into their presents like ravenous wolves.

This is a totally random picture of Jarom making fun of my mom- and she- laughing in return.
Plus, she was avoiding the camera. She never lets me take pictures of her. Especially in the morning without makeup. I wonder why.

After Christmas, we watched and waited to see if the weather would let up so we could drive to Salt Lake to see the other grandparents. The weather reports were terrible, but finally we heard that there was a break in the storm...so we left.

Let me just say that weathermen CANNOT predict the weather. EVEN just the day before. The roads were -

- EEEEEERIE -

* and scary *

We made it! (THIS IS US SAFE AND SOUND) after we managed to travel at a slow pace throughout the blizzards, blowing winds, icy and slippery roads-making it the longest and scariest drive ever to Salt Lake. Yeah! Once we warmed up in a toasty house, we had an absolutely wonderful and well deserved jolly time with Jon's family. Jon was pretty burned out from the previous school semester and he enjoyed a month of relaxation of the mind.

I always love being with the in-laws, and Chase and Logan love being at Grandma and Grandpa Baird's house even more. It was fun to see Jon's sisters and brothers and their families. Plus, the little cousins played cutely together.

For some reason, Chase decided to lay a movie star smooch on Grandma. Lucky her.

This picture is priceless because this is
Grandma Baird playing in the snow in her
robe and boots. (Such a great memory...
funny too)

I have driven in those scary storms that the visablity is like zero. I don't envy you at all for that. Other then that, you look like you had a great time. I love the robe pic.

That robe picture is pretty funny, so is the one with Jarom. It seems we missed you guys while you were there, but glad to hear you guys had a good Christmas. There's nothing like not being able to breathe when you go outside, huh? I almost forgot what it was like to be that cold.
