We traveled to Sand Hollow Reservoir this weekend. It was so fun. We bought a raft big enough for our family. We paddled out to the little sandstone island not too far from the beach. Chase kept leaning over the edge of the boat saying, "Nemo, where are you? Come up here now." We explored the island and swam around. Chase loved it until an underwater plant touched his feet. It freaked him out and he wouldn't wade in the water after that. I understand, I know its just a plant and it still freaks me out when it touches my feet.
Logan did so well in his little infant life vest. He hung out in the water and grinned the whole time. A storm in the distance crept up, but was still a little ways away. The waves suddenly became big while we were swimming back to our boat and they were a tad too big for Logan as he was getting water in his face, so we got out of there.
Overall, it was a fun time and we plan on doing it again. Hopefully, we can keep Logan from eating too much sand next time.
