Happy first day of school to my big 1st grader and my big 4th grader. We thought we'd take pictures of them next to the new shrubs and see who grows quicker over the years.
It's just me and this little sassy mischief maker now. I'm loving how quiet the house is. Holy cow! I could not keep up with the mess in the summer. With all kids running around making messes everywhere and feeding them all day-it was chaos and I could not keep the house clean. Now I can and I love it. I loved having the boys home for the summer. But now I love this quiet time with just me and my baby! He is so cute that I just want to nibble on him every hour.
This summer we put in sprinklers, sod, curbing, mulch, some plants, and built a rock wall and steps. We aren't done with all the landscaping projects but it looks a million times better than with just dirt. I'm loving it!

1800 mi to Big Sky Country
I had no excuse this year. I wasn't pregnant and too tired and sick to drive. I wasn't with a newborn and had to nurse every couple hours. This summer I had a 17 month baby who was well tended by two big boy helpers. So I put on my big girl pants and just went to MT. All by myself and the boys. The drive was long, but it wasn't too bad when I took two days to get there and stayed the night in Idaho falls at my brothers place. We rented lots and lots of netflix along the way and had goodie bags and plenty of snacks. Once we got to MT, we spent 5 days there with Grandma Mary and Auntie Lauren. We spent some lazy days at the house catching up, we went to movies and outings in the "bigger town" and then the last day we drove to the mountains and enjoyed an afternoon in a cold mountain river. I love the mountains of MT. (BEAUTIFUL)
It was so good to see my mom and sista. Family is wonderful!
The boys always have a good time with Auntie. She is lots and lots of fun.
I sloppily threw on my sisters hair extensions and had fun seeing myself with long hair. Boy could I have fun with some hair. Too bad I don't have the type of hair that I could wear long. (thin, flat and lifeless) I suppose I could join the extension world, but I'm just a bit too lazy when it comes to glamming up.
We stayed the night with my brother and his cute family in Idaho. They were moving to go to Grad school in a few days, but I'm so glad they fit us into their busy schedule. I haven't seen them much at all and it was great to spend time with them. My brother married a really nice and sweet gal.
Cousins Tyler Jay and TY Jay. (Hee Hee) Everyone in the family is leery that I'll keep stealing their baby names. :)
On the way back home, we stopped for lunch at Wendys. I was enjoying looking at my three boys across from me. Ty put on quite a cute show. I tried to take pictures with all of them looking at me. You can see how well it worked. What does a mom have to do to get boys to focus for two freaking seconds?
Love em anyway!
