Megan tagged me to write 6 unspectacular quirks of mine.......
1. Just like Megan, I like to arrange my clothes in the closet according to color. That is how I recently discovered that everything I own is black or white. I seriously need some color, but I swear all the shirts that look the best on me happen to be in those two colors. But back to the closet...It gets unorganized easy, but that's how I like things. I love organizing. Especially since I've always lived in small apartments with little room, and I've had a lot of time to play tetras with everything we own. If only I could find a place to put the children away.
2. I hate standing up in the bathroom mirror to blow dry my hair. I have lots of crazy layers so I style my hair while I dry it (which takes forever). I like to sit on the floor in my bedroom, using a small mirror to do the job. I just can't seem to make myself do it standing up. I did this as a teenager and also in college. I guess I haven't grown up.
3. I hate seeing clutter in my house. It just gets to me and drives me crazy. I've got to pick up everything, but I'm terrible at deep cleaning the bathroom or the kitchen or vacuuming. But don't worry to any of you who suddenly worry that I will judge you as I walk into your cluttered house....my standards only apply to me. I don't get bugged by other people's homes, nor do I care. Plus, even though I hate clutter, it doesn't mean that I am perfect and have a clean house all the time. I have kids.
4. I love prunes. I can down those babies.
5. I can't stand any pants near my belly or even below it. It irritates me like a hemorroid. If I am wearing any type of drawstring or wasteband pants, or gym shorts at home, I pull them halfway down my butt like a gangster. I do manage to contain myself in public though by pulling them up.
6. I have an overactive imagination. There is a story going on in my head all the time. I love to write stories, so I'm always thinking of ideas. I can't turn it off. I was at the temple the other day and I wanted to slap myself because I found myself scheming up a great idea for my current character when I should be paying attention. I get great ideas when I am at places where I can't scribble my ideas down, and then I forget my great plan, and its back to the drawing board. This type of hobby is terrible because it is a solitary way to spend my time. My St. George friends didn't see much of me when I was in a writing mood. I prefer to spend time at the computer writing instead of socializing....though I really do like to socialize, and I crave the company of somebody besides my own children.
7. I have one more...because this will tell you how weird I am, unless there are others out there like me. I don't like having my children in my space...touching me. It is not like when you have a sweet baby or little toddler who is on your lap. It is when I am doing something, like typing on the computer, or reading a book, or something that doesn't involve the children, and Chase will get in my space in an annoying way and tap me, or he'll grab at my hands and pull at me. That's it. That bugs me the most- Being manhandled by my own child. It really irriates me. I wish he'd leave me alone. I seriously find myself saying "Stop touching me" like two siblings in the back seat of a car. Am I strange?

Dumb, Dumb....absolutely dumb
So guess who wins the stupid award of the year? That would be me. (MELISSA). So, we were at the cute little zoo in Bilings, admiring a cool tiger, and I was snapping some photos. I was wearing the camera strap around my neck the entire time except for one stupid freaking second, where I took it off. I can't even remeber why I took it off. But I did. It had to happen at that exact moment when a spider landed on my hand. (I'm really not a fan of spiders) I like to fling them off my body parts when they make an unwelcome intrusion. Guess who flung her hand? Guess what else I flung? Stupid stupid stupid. I broke a really nice camera. I feel terrible. Jon was pretty cool about it. I was already mad at myself, especially since we are self declared poor college students and will not allocate resources for a nice camera for awhile. There will be a lack of pictures in the future for the time being. We have another camera, but it takes bad pictures. So, sorry everyone. I'm stupid. I would have preferred that I had tripped in a clumsy fashion and dropped the camera, or that Bruno the bear had jumped the fence and attacked me, so I chucked the camera in defense, but no, I had a girl moment where I panicked when a teensy spider dropped by to say hello.

So, I read the final book of the worshiped vampire saga. AWESOME. But then again, how can Stephanie Meyer write a terrible end to her book? She's a fantastic writer, and it was a great story. She's great at creating intense scenes, which is basically the entire novel from beginning to end. Naturally, I wondered how she would wrap things up. Who would end up with who? DOES BELLA BECOME A VAMPIRE? All those things...its ends just fine. Strange twists here and there, of course. Don't worry, I am not leaking anything. I am proud to announce that I did not read the book in one day, like I did with all the other novels. Could you put them down? This time I managed to stretch it out over three days. Good job me. I have no idea why my whole entry is underlined, and now all of a sudden it isn't. There is no underline option. What the heck?
