Holy cow! It's so dang cold!

Boy, have we been introduced into Montana. For the past week, its been in the negative numbers. And in case any of you care to know, 20 below feels like 40 below with a wind chill. Its so cold, you can feel your skin freezing if you're exposed for a few minutes. Absolutely bitter cold. It keeps snowing and we are shut in. We go out once a day for groceries or to get a movie, but we are feeling pretty shut in. We don't have cable either. Somehow we are managing to survive...but we seem to be getting a little edgy at times with each other. We were wanting to go to my mom's to start our Christmas vacation this weekend, but a snow storm has halted our journey. We'll get over there someday. I HOPE.

We took advantage of the weather when we got a couple days of warmth just recently. It was a whopping 20 degrees so we went sledding. We have a little hill right out our door which is perfect for some little boy sledding. They loved it. Its a lot of fun.

Since I've been in the desert for several years, I've accumulated nothing in terms of winter shoes. Everything I own is a slide. I love shoes I can just slip my foot into, but they serve no purpose here with all the snow. I got sick of snow getting into my shoes, so I grit my teeth and bought some boots that I can wear outside. I love boots right now!

Also to end my cold rant I'd like to say Merry Christmas everyone. I hope our family gets to see everyone in Fairfield and Salt Lake like we've planned. I pray the roads will clear in time for our travels. Feliz Navidad!

You really should not have left the warmth! I was thinking about you yesterday. Just missing having you around to hang out with. Just think the summers will be great there!

good luck with the roads! I hope they are good for us too-we are going to Idaho tomorrow and the road to my in-laws is the windiest road ever.

Seriously!! Those roads had better clear, I'd be REAL sad not to see you.

BTW, that first picture of Logan is to die for!! You need to email me that one :)
